Lauren Hutton
was the original
vice-president of
the Guggenheim
Museum Motorcycle
Club. In 2000, while
participating in a
celebrity motorcycle
ride to promote an
exhibit at the
Hermitage-Guggenheim
museum, she was
involved in a
near-death
motorcycle accident.
Lauren fully
recovered and is
still going full
speed. Factoid: it
was her very first
movie, Little
Faus and Big Halsy
(pictured),
where she learned
how to ride a bike.

Cher
made motorcycle
history on July
16, 2003, along
with an infamous
group of
celebrities
including
Peter Fonda,
Sylvester
Stallone, Arnold
Schwarzenegger and
Hulk Hogan as they
rode to the steps
of New York’s City
Hall where the
mayor proclaimed
the third
Wednesday in July
as Ride To Work
Day. Who knew?
Also, Cher’s 1994
black Harley
Davidson Fatboy
was part of a
Christie’s charity
auction that was
said to raise an
estimated $40,000.

Queen Latifa
has a well-known
passion for riding
both sport and
street cruisers. Her
enthusiasm is
captured on the
cover of Ebony
Magazine’s November
2007 issue as she
glams it up while
(properly)
straddling a custom
chopper. She’s
quoted in a 2004 CBS
news story revealing
that "Riding is fun
for more than one
reason. I have worn
a helmet most of the
time. People don't
know it's me so I
can just rip and run
and be at one with
myself." |

Wynona Judd
began riding
motorcycles over a
decade ago. In
2003, during
Harley-Davidson’s
100th
Anniversary
celebration,
Wynona rode the
brand new 100th
anniversary silver
Heritage Springer
alongside her
fellow friends
from the
motorcycle
organization,
Women in the Wind.
The ride also
helped raise money
for breast cancer
research. Last
heard, she had a
'93 Fat Boy at
home.

#6
Joan Jett
has always
epitomized the
bad-girl biker.
Today you can find
her getting crowds
revved-up
headlining
motorcycle rallies
and teaming up
with the guys from
American Chopper
to rip out “Bad
Reputation” in a
video clip that
celebrates the
show’s new network
switch. Joan’s
been an avid rider
(and rebel) since
a teenager. Rock
on!

KD Lang
could take apart her
motorcycle and fix
it by the time she
was just nine years
old, thanks to her

still evident today,
as she can be
spotted riding her
vintage Triumph to
her gigs.

rider to her long
list of
accomplishments
(insert envy
here). In full
gear she has often
accompanied her
husband
(you-know-who) on

a city street and
yes, village.
According to his

safe” from Michael

tomboy in her youth
– choosing dirt
bikes over dolls.

enthusiast, spending
her free time riding

According to a

has numerous bikes
in her stable. |

taste in bikes
with her Triumph
Bonneville T100.
She’s been spotted

~ Honorable Mentions ~
Alanis
Morrisette
recently completed her
motorcycle-training course in May 2007. On her web site
she posts an image of her license along with a shot of
her riding. But just as all virgin riders experience,
Alanis was photographed with her Triumph stranded on the
side of the road – with cell phone in hand, of course.
Even celebrities can’t escape some of the quirks that go
with riding!
Courtney
Cox - according to the Complete Idiot's Guide to
Motorcycling (Second Edition), Courtney 'appeared in
public service ads riding her Ninja.'
